Afghanistan thrashed hapless Zimbabwe by 8 wickets to take an assailable 2-0 lead in the ODI series played at Harare Sports Club.
20-year-old Ibrahim Zadran, hit 120 of 142 balls to give the visitors a comfortable chase with 33 balls left to spare.
Zadran smashed 16 fours for his ton as hapless Zimbabwe bowlers failed to sizzle, with Blessing Muzarabani and Donald Tiripano sharing one wicket a piece.
Earlier in the innings, opener Innocent Kaia top scored with 63 for Zimbabwe but wickets fell in quick succession after his soft dismissal.
Ryan Bell’s 51 not out failed to help Zimbabwe level the series on a good batting track.
Coming into the series, the Chevrons suffered an embarrassing 3-2 defeat by emerging nation, Namibia.
The matches are part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League.
Zimbabwe is number twelve with 35 points just above Netherlands.
