Cassper Nyovest Reacts To AKA’s Death
The death of Hip Hop superstar Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes’ has touched the lives of many people. The rapper who was seen as an OG in the game, noticeably paved the way for other rappers who came before him. Reacting to his death, Cassper Nyovest, sent his heartfelt condolences to the rappers family.
Taking to Twitter, Cassper reacted with heartbreak to the untimely AKA death. He along with a former manager and friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane’s, passed away after a shooting on Friday, February 10 in Florida Rd, Durban.
“My sincere condolences goes out to Kiernan and Tebello’s families, colleagues, and fans. May their souls rest in peace and their legacies be celebrated. May the Good lord be with all of you at this sad time,” he wrote.
The Forbes’ family confirmed AKA death in a statement:
“It is with extreme sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our beloved son, and confirm his untimely and tragic passing on the evening of 10 February 2023. We are awaiting further details from the Durban police.”
“To us, Kieran Jarryd Forbes was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, and most importantly father to his beloved daughter Kaito. To many, he was AKA, SUPERMEGA, BHOVA, and the many other names of affection his legion of fans called him by.
The family of Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane also reacted to his passing saying they lost an only son:
“To us, Tebello was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. To many, he was Tibz Wa Bantwana, Chief of Cool, Summer Time Cool Creator, K1 K9, and many other names of affection. Our son was loved and he gave love in return. As we come to terms with the devastating truth that our only son is no longer with us we appeal for your compassion, space, and time to congregate as a family to decide on the upcoming days.
“We thank you for the love and support we have received and ask you to continue to lift us up in prayer before the Lord,” reads the statement.
