Star FM’s DJ Mbale sacked!
Star FM radio presenter/producer DJ Mbale was sacked Tuesday from the station over misconduct.
The station announced via Facebook post on their official page that DJ Mbale had been sacked over “various issues”.
DJ Mbale whose real name is Gabriel Mbale recently had a fallout with a number of dancehall musicians who accused him of demanding kickbacks in return for airplay.
In a series of leaked chats and posts on social media, Culture Love and BabyDon complained against DJ Mbale’s conduct.
BabyDon rose to prominence after comedienne Mai TT shared her story on her Facebook page.
However, DJ Mbale hit back on social media claiming that the upcoming artists were ungrateful.
He seemed to suggest that he was doing more to promote young artists but instead they bit the hand that fed them.
Though versatile DJ Mbale made a name for himself on Star FM where started out as a mostly a producer, producing the breakfast show.

Then later, he went behind the mic as a presenter hot sitting for DJs on the roster.
When Godfather Templeman had issues over contractual agreements with the management, DJ Mbale briefly replaced him and hosted the Zim Dancehall Shows.
This was perhaps his own undoing as he endeared himself with Zim dancehall artists many of whom were desperate for airplay.
By and large, DJ Mbale related more to the upcoming artists but the midst of all that he crossed paths with some artists who then flagged him.
Popularly known as Mangungundengu Boss a name he used for his podcast, DJ Mbale was slowly establishing himself as an authority within Zim dancehall circles.
On the podcast he would trace some of the pioneers of Zim dancehall music including producers.
He also guested at Zim dancehall shows either as a host or as a continuity DJ.
This, he did with finesse and gusto!
