GOSPEL musician, Minister Kuda Mandizvidza has joined hands with South African crooner, Sbu Banda in a heartfelt praise song, titled If It Wasn’t For The Lord.
Mandizvidza, whose love for collaboration with gospels stars across the Limpopo is indelible in his career, having featured Takie Ndou on Mbiri Yose in 2018 promises more music in the future after a short break from music.
The young musician and Pastor told TheNewsReportLive that the new song is a testimony of how God has worked in his life.
“The unique thing about this latest production is this song God gave me when I was in situation that was not good and he told me that you shall sing this song as a testimony. So this song is really on my heart, when we say IF IT WASN’T FOR THE LORD that phrase alone speaks a lot. Many people have gone through situations in life and God delivered them from those situations so they have every reason to declare that IF IT WASN’T FOR THE LORD,” Mandizvidza said in an interview.
He admitted that South African music has had an influence on his sound, adding that working with Banda was strategic in marketing his music across the borders.
“I grew up listening to South African Music and I have fallen in love with. So it has always been my dream to work with South African singers. For me its actually a dream come true. As a musician its every musician’s desire for their music to reach out to as many people as possible so its also a way of marketing my music in South Africa and also my brother Sbu Banda will be marketing his music this side as well,” he said.
Mandizvidza recounts how he met Banda:”I connected with Sbu Banda years ago I have been following his ministry and it has been a blessing to me. So we connected and we agreed to work together. Early last year that’s when I called him telling him about this particular song. That was it and we started working on it. I must say we worked with one of the best musicians in South Africa and amazing backing vocalists. It was a great experience working with them.”

After a short break from the music industry, the Murapi Mukuru singer believes he has more to offer to his fans.
“I have been quite for some time due to some circumstances I was going through but i am back now. I am so excited I feel live again doing what I love the most. Expect a lot from me in the near future. More spirit filled music,” he gushed.
Gospel music lovers can now watch the video on Youtube while the song has already premiered on One Gospel.
