Imagine watching Batman from Zimbabwe, walking dusty township streets, and solving petty crime in his neighborhood.
Mukoma Bruce is your plug!
Comedian, Mukudzei Majoni popularly known as King Kandoro has released a rib-tickling parody of Holywood blockbuster, Batman on Youtube which is expected to get many laughing.
“Mukoma Bruce is a parody of batman, we were trying to imagine if batman was born in Zimbabwe. So, he is still a guy who wants to fight crime and wants the best for his neighborhood. He still has to deal with fuel shortages, load-shedding and how they are impacting his day-to-day life. He is also trying to fall in love, so it is just a fun story,” Kandoro told The NewsReportive.
The debut episode, A Hero is Born, introduces viewers to Mukoma Bruce spoiling the party for robbers in his neighborhood.
His contemporaries, including vendors where he ordinarily buys snacks on credit, have no idea they are talking to a superhero.
Even when Mukoma Bruce, suggests he may have dealt with thieves the previous night, the ladies laugh it off.
The Batman parody cast blends in experienced and new faces in television production, giving it a fresh look for local film lovers.
Kizito Mawoko, who plays Dread Welly WemaPlan makes a comeback to the screens , decades after he appeared on Studio 263 in the early 2000s.

Another veteran actor, Michael Kudakwashe is cast as a policeman.
Kandoro said Mukoma Bruce seeks to bring a comic relief to Zimbabweans reeling from economic challenges.
“I was just trying to depart from heavy political satire and see if I can challenge myself. I think it is necessary with the times because I think we are living in depressing times. It’s a fit for people who do not want to dabble in the heavy stuff,” Kandoro said.
Produced by College Central, popular for the Wadiwa Wepamoyo series, the making of Mukoma Bruce was also supported by Shumba money, an international money transfer agency.
